Blue Man Group Coming To SA in 2017

Big Concerts International today announced that experimental musical theatre troupe, Blue Man Group will visit South Africa for the first time as part of their World Tour in 2017.

The Blue Man Group was formed nearly 25 years ago, the award winning trio has performed in 15 countries and seen by more than 35 million people worldwide since 1991.

With the conclusion of the World T20 World Cup in India, as the West Indies were crowned Kings and Queens of World Cricket in both the Men’s and the Women’s tournament, months after their U19 squad were crowned the Champions in Bangladesh, the island nation pulling the triple threat. Beyond that historical achievement, there is something quiet admirable to take from this tournament.

Stokvels are said to make up a multi-billion rand industry in South Africa. Stokvels are a form of collective saving where the participants contribute on a monthly basis for one purpose or another.

Let us take a look at some of the different types of stokvels that exist. A stokvel can be rotational or cumulative. In a rotational stokvel, the contributions are paid to a member on a rotational basis, normally monthly. For example, where there are 12 members, each member gets their lump sum on a certain month. This type of stokvel is one we find rather pointless but we shall elaborate further later.

The players themselves were happy to be back at home for what will seem like a small break for most who have IPL contracts for the very lucrative Indian Premier League Tournament set to begin on April 9.

Days after FIFA, the worlds Football Governing Body released a 22 page long document, addressed to the US Government for financial amends that the organization has lost through the ill-dealings of former executives (to date 39 defendants) who defrauded the footballing body of $ 198 million FIFA claimed.
